Media Magicians

It's some guy's portfolio of the images he has retouched or created for advertisers, and it's pretty amazing. When I found it a few weeks ago, it was right after my class had discussed visual arguments and media literacy, so I didn't really have a way to fit it into the summer course, but I knew I would want to use it sometime. I did put it up on the screen before class started one day with about half the students there, and there were audible gasps as I moused over some of the pictures. It so perfectly illustrates what advertisers can (and do) do to imperceptibly alter images.
